In this volume children will explore the seabed of the Coral Reef, the Arctic Ocean and the Mediterranean Sea, each one represented on one side of the diorama.

At the beginning of each activity, little Darwin and Prof. Marina, a biologist, will give children some useful information and anecdotes to help them find their way around.

The volume also shows photographs or enlargements that will help children better understand what the typical animals of each environment look like.

Fun activities will test readers’ knowledge: puzzles, crosswords, find the intruder, find the path and colour-in activities. At the end of each challenge, they will be rewarded with instructions on how to find the animals in the pages of Darwin’s diary.

Those figures can be cut out and placed on the backgrounds of the three environments of the diorama. At the end of the activities, children will be able to admire the diorama they’ve built with their own hands!
