First leaps MAXI

This new instrument (42 x 29.7 cm) is an integration for the learning programme based on the Analogical Method.  It has been designed to be used in group and whole-class settings with the mini-volumes First Leaps Counting and Thinking.

First Leaps Maxi allows the teacher or educator to use the Analogical Method for “counting and thinking” with the entire class, or small groups, and includes helpful suggestions on presenting the different activities to the children.  Counting and thinking are actions that allow children to acquire self-awareness and awareness of the reality that surrounds them, and encourage them to make connections between the two.

The activities dedicated to Thinking are aimed at helping children become familiar with the key terminology that forms the basis of cognitive operations such as spatial orientation and classification, while the activities related to Counting help children recognize quantities even before being able to name them.

Thanks to the quick-scrolling images, made possible by the ease of use and size of the instrument, the adult can adjust the learning pace to match that of the children, and accompany them on a continuous experimentation of their abilities, allowing the children to naturally absorb concepts.  What usually takes place in months of work can be completed in only a few minutes. Primi Voli Maxi is suitable for teachers working with the nursery school curriculum, as well as primary school support teachers and educators that assist children with learning difficulties.
