Created by Professor Daniela Lucangeli and her research group at the University of Padua, Numeric intelligence mini-mysteries 4 is a fun game-book created to practice numerical intelligence in primary school children and learn mathematics while having fun. Inspector Numbers and her assistants, the Street Mice, investigate a strange incident that removes the star of a prestigious musical production. The children will have to find the clues and collect the stickers-clues, to be attached to the table of suspects, to solve the mystery.

The proposed activities have been studied to:

  • stimulate attention to mental processes that support learning mathematics;
  • strengthen divergent and creative thought;
  • involve the reader with an intriguing narrative that takes its cue from puzzles and playful teaching.

In the fourth volume the activities focus in particular on:

  • numbers beyond 1000
  • calculations
  • measurement
  • fractions and decimal numbers
  • space and shape
  • data and relationships
  • problem solving.

The numerical intelligence mini mystery series
The series aims to transform mathematics learning into an opportunity for implicit learning and active fun. The volumes have an increasing level of complexity, are designed in line with the school math curriculum, and can be useful both for consolidating learning and for tackling recuperation and review with a fun approach.
