The volume proposes hands-on, sensorial workshops to accompany kindergarten children on a discovery of the origin of colors and nature with its life cycles. Experience the close connection between natural elements and colors, discover the origin of the names and reflect on the changing cyclicity dictated by the passing of the seasons.
The workshops are created around the elements of art and science, play and discovery, indoor and outdoor, individual and group work, creating a perfect balance with the countless ideas that nature offers to transform them into learning. One of the many purposes of Workshops about the colours of the four seasons is that of inviting adults to slow down their pace of life to linger on the observations of the natural world that speaks to our five senses and gives us the tranquility that we so need in order to pass this valuable lesson on to the child.

Indoor and outdoor STEAM programmes and activities for kindergarten
The identification and learning of colours represents a very important stage in the development of the child. In early childhood, between the ages of two and six, little ones learn to distinguish colours by associating them with their names, starting with the primary colours, and subsequently including the many shades that exist in the rainbow.
Workshops about the colours of the four seasons was created from the desire to share the world of nature with the little ones in the simplest way possible: by connecting the colour wheel with the life cycle of the seasons.
Structure of the BOOK
The volume offers indoor and outdoor hands-on and sensorial workshops to carry out as individual and group activities, to learn and experience firsthand, with all the senses, the origin of colours following the colour cycle which is typical of the 4 seasons during the school year: starting therefore from the colours of autumn, each colour is introduced by a poem that activates the emotional world of the child through words, followed by the experiential activities of contact with the material, inspired by the Land Art movement .
The book is divided into 12 sections, each of which is dedicated to a colour. Each section is divided into 4 workshops. Each colour, and therefore each section, is also introduced by a poem.
Structure of the workshops
At the beginning of each workshop, practical information useful for its implementation is provided. The information is divided into:
In order to facilitate a multidisciplinary exploration of the volume, the didactic areas involved in each laboratory are marked with logos. The areas of expertise are divided into Research and discovery, Arts, Socio-emotional education
Each activity proposed in the workshops is accompanied by the following logos, which specify whether it takes place outdoors or indoors.
