Working programmes for the transition to primary school

The volume offers a targeted and complete programme to prepare kindergarten children for managing the delicate transition to primary school with harmony and a sense of continuity, guided by the common thread of an engaging story. It offers 70 activities for the development of learning prerequisites in five fundamental areas: metaphonology, graphomotricity, pre-graphism, visual-space-time area, logical-mathematical area. It also offers numerous ideas for icebreaker activities and frames, which are fundamental, respectively, for the creation of the group and to stimulate concentration and fine motor skills.

The story
To make the children’s passage from kindergarten to primary school as harmonious as possible, the volume uses an attached story, The journey of Pallino, which acts as a hook (or scenario) for the activities that revolve around it, assisted and escorted by the characters found in the story. This allows the children to identify with the characters, and see the difficulties and satisfactions of their personal growth path reflected.  The construction of a narrative framework activates skills in a unitary, gradual and meaningful way.
