One of the most renowned Lacanian psychoanalysts in Italy, above all for his research on eating disorders (anorexia and bulimia). In 2003 he founded JONAS, Centre of Psychoanalytic Clinical Practice for New Symptoms, with the intention of widening the analysis he started with anorexia and bulimia to the other symptoms with which this subjective disorder manifests nowadays: panic attacks, depression, problems linked to new families and drug addiction. He is a founder member of the Italian Lacanian Psychoanalysts’ Association and Scientific Director of the Research Institute of Applied Psychoanalysis and the Specialisation Course for New Symptoms at Jonas Onlus. With Erickson he has published The empty subject (2011) and Praising failure (2011).
