Attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), despite being peculiar to the developmental age, continues to occur in at least two thirds of subjects in adulthood. Adults with ADHD can experience fatigue, frustration, failure and a series of problems in different areas of their lives, negatively affecting self-perception and self-esteem with important psycho-emotional consequences. The volume describes and proposes a model on which to build a psychoeducational intervention for ADHD in adulthood, to encourage the development of a realistic self-assessment capacity of one’s own dysfunctions and to provide transferable methods and strategies in daily life.
