Rocco’s spell (Full KIT: CD-ROM + book)

THE CD-ROM:

To break the spell that turned him into a funny little frog, Rocco has to pass a series of tests with the help of other children. He has to make his way through a set of surprising and amusing games until he reaches his princess’ castle.

Designed to develop visual and aural perception abilities, this cd-rom helps children discover the fascinating world of colors, shapes, sounds and rhythm.

Each game has a different length and level of difficulty; each game trains a different perception ability that the player needs to have to help Rocco reach the castle and recover his human form.

The activities are very appealing to children as they take place in a magical world and target specific chromatic experiences. They also train shape, dimension and sound assessment abilities and promote sound recognition (noises, voices and verses) and rhythm acquisition.

The cd-rom promotes the development of all these abilities while also stimulating the pleasure of learning.

THE BOOK:

The book introduces the principles of the VIDEO-PLAY method: the relation between play and learning in the digital era, the educational use of multimedia games, a guide to the use of the software and suggestions about how to use the resources in the family including other dimensions of child development, like body language, affectivity and interrelatedness.
