The third volume of A Gym for the Mind proposes an articulated and complete program of cognitive and communicative activation, aimed at adults in need of tools supported by solid scientific evidence to combat cognitive decline. The authors respond to the challenges of rehabilitation capable of producing positive effects on cognition without neglecting well-being and pleasure, providing the opportunity to establish meaningful human relationships.

Like the previous volumes, the contents collect the operational aspects of the Cognitive Activation Therapy (CAT) method which have been developed at the CRIC since 2001.
This new program is designed to give voice to the will, autonomy, preferences and opinions of the person without losing sight of the methodological rigor and rehabilitation needs. Each chapter corresponds ideally to a session of cognitive activation and is characterized by a “theme” or “topic” that joins heterogeneous activities together.

Designed for use by experienced workers, but thanks to the simplicity of the formulation and clarity of instructions, the volume can also be used by family members and caregivers.
