Verbal comprehension and production

There are many reasons why verbal comprehension and production do not develop sufficiently in a child: cognitive or specific comprehension deficits, expressive linguistic difficulties and poor listening skills. Verbal comprehension and production has been designed as a tool for developing these skills and contains 22 short stories of increasing difficulty, accompanied by illustrated multiple choice comprehension questions which stimulate verbalisation and reflection. The material presented offers support in the form of: either training focused on attention capacity, verbal comprehension and the integration of auditory information; activities focused on verbal production with visual support and on reconstruction of narrative events; or the first approach to comprehension of a text read aloud. Useful for children aged 4 to 7 with difficulties, the book will also prove effective for all those who need to practice listening skills, reinterpretation and personal reflection.
