Language disorders and psychomotor intervention

Starting from the assumption that global stimulation encourages the harmonious development of children and helps to prevent future school difficulties, this book aims to stimulate emerging skills in different areas of development through integrated speech-therapy and psychomotor sessions with small groups of children aged 3 to 5.

The book is divided into 10 Units of increasing difficulty:

• Rhythm and auditory discrimination
• Widening lexis

• The metaphonological area
• Pre-writing skills.

The areas stimulated are described in the programme and photocopiable worksheets with hundreds of exercises and games are provided. Clear, detailed instructions on the materials needed and methods to be used are provided for each activity. Practical examples of use are also given.
The programme presented is effective both for rehabilitative remediation for neuromotor and psychomotor therapists and speech therapists working with language disorders and in early childhood development, and as a global stimulation tool for educators and teachers.
