An innovative tool inspired by the pedagogical thought of Maria Montessori to encourage children to memorize combinations in basic calculation, preparing the calculation in mind and laying the foundations for subsequent more advanced learning. It presents the realization of abstract concepts in an engaging and fun way: through their manipulation, the free choice of the activity and the repetition of the exercise, starting from the simple and moving towards greater levels of complexity, boys and girls gradually come to master the concepts of mathematical calculation.

The Addition and Subtraction Tables are educational materials that allow for error control, favouring the self-correction mechanism, and are made up of:

• a guide book with the principles of the Montessorian methodology and the activities that can be carried out with the table;
• a wooden addition table;
• a wooden subtraction table;
• 17 neutral rods and 18 colored rods;
• online resources, accessible through the code shown in the guide.
