Witnessed violence and help programmes for children

This volume responds to the urgency of having intervention proposals that can be used effectively in daily practice by those who work in child protection programmes, in anti-violence centers or in the clinical / therapeutic field. Witnessed violence and help programmes for children consists of a manual and an illustrated story. Clinicians, psychologists or psychotherapists will be able to use the story and the activities proposed in the manual to carry out a programme, in an individual or group setting, with children between ages 6 and 11 who have lived in contexts of domestic violence in order to help them make contact with their emotional experiences, to rework their experiences in a protected context, and to build a more integrated and positive sense of self. It is a working tool, full of intervention proposals.

The volume is also aimed at teachers interested in deepening their knowledge of witnessed violence and developing greater sensitivity and awareness skills with respect to its complexity.
