Pre-writing games and activities to develop creativity

Elena Baboni

One of the favourite activities for children is drawing: being able to make marks on blank sheets of paper and, in a way, represent reality is an exciting experience for them! Drawing is not just a game; it is also a way to develop fundamental skills for learning to write, starting with the very first forms of graphic representation, such as scribbling.

The Author

Elena Baboni trained as a restorer in Florence, she now devotes herself to painting, ceramics, engraving, graphic design, and illustration, all while nurturing her love for dust and antiques, patinas, and craquelure. In publishing, she works as both an illustrator and author, in Italy and abroad. Above all, she has learned to understand children by conducting many (too many!) workshops in schools, libraries, and bookstores across Italy. She shares these experiences with adults through training courses, articles for specialist magazines, and textbooks for Primary Schools.
