Clouds are fascinating. They capture children’s attention and spark their creativity. What if they were inserted into the daily curriculum, transforming it into innovative didactics?

The Cloudmaker’s Briefcase proposes tools and suggestions that make it possible to make maths, science, art and technology lessons more stimulating, starting from observing clouds. The class can become an effervescent research group that knows how to deal with hypothesis, verification methods, and possible solutions.

The briefcase contains:

  • 8 stencils in large format providing the scientific classification of the clouds;

  • 44 clouds of different shapes for working on the sky;

  • a two-sided poster with a mirrored surface for observing the reflections of clouds outdoors and drawing around their outlines; the other side is a sky where the 44 cloud shapes can be placed (plus all the ones created by the children);

  • a dry-erase marker for drawing the outlines of clouds;

  • a notebook with project charts and activities to make the best use of the material and plan a multidisciplinary research project on clouds.
