DOMINOPLAY

DOMINOPLAY

From Erickson’s experience, the clever and amusing domino to learn playing at school, at home and with friends!

The series Giocadomino, created by Flavio Fogarolo, offers fun, didactic games which are variations on the classic game of dominoes, excellent for supporting learning and automatisms, especially but not only in calculations.

A DOMINO WITH A CHECKING SYSTEM!

Giocadomino enables children to have instant control of the right matches: in fact, each element has a multi-coloured edge, a sort of colour barcode, which identifies the quantity represented, despite being presented under a different guise. If children try to pair up dominoes with different values they’ll realise immediately.

Thanks to the effective checking system, they can play independently without needing the constant supervision of an adult.

An innovative product that exploits the potential of playing to develop children’s mathematical skills

THE CHECKING SYSTEM!

Playing the game

  • Shuffle the pack and deal 4 to 6 dominoes to each player; if there are a lot of players reduce the number of dominoes dealt. Place the remaining dominoes in a pack in the middle of the table.
  • You can decide to place your dominoes face up on the table or hidden in your hand. Place a domino face up on the table.
  • The first player attempts to add one of their dominoes to the first one by matching two boxes with the same quantity.
  • To check that the quantities actually are the same, check that the colours match.
  • Each player then tries to add their dominoes to the ones on the table.
  • Dominoes can be added to any free side, the same domino can be used several times as long as it does not incorrectly touch any other dominoes (different quantities and therefore colours which don’t match) already on the table.
