A series of narrative titles dealing with children’s emotional sphere by the author Alberto Pellai
Often children are unable to put their emotions into words and rationalize what they feel inside as adults do. Their language of emotions is made up of images and metaphors, and it is therefore no coincidence that most childhood therapists work on and with the world of children’s emotions through tools such as play, drawing, stories and tales.
The stories of Psychologically Oriented Narrative (PON) are a useful resource for psychotherapeutic work with children, but also for leading emotions education in schools and for fostering the relationship between parents and children.
Using the “artifice” of a story in which things happen, actions take place and moods are experienced, the stories of Psychologically Oriented Narration (PON) help children with the process of recognizing and validating emotions, allowing them to identify with clarity, in an almost simplified way, emotions that are their own.
As if they had at their disposal a double video camera, aimed at the various protagonists of the story, children can observe and record the objective facts in a timely manner, and at the same time focus on what happens in the inner world of the characters. By exploring different points of view, different thoughts and feelings with respect to the same situation, they can easily identify with the various characters and acquire awareness and confidence in their abilities to face and solve problematic situations.
