TEACHER’S KIT
The Teacher’s KIT contains the teacher’s guide with lesson plans, and all the material necessary for the students: three lapbooks, accompanying take-apart books with sections to be cut out, completed, and constructed, and a student workbook with exercises to be done at home.

TEACHER’S BOOK
Developed in accordance with the National Curriculum Guidelines, the teacher’s guide provides lesson plans for each the subject’s three main topics.  Designed to follow the spiral method of teaching, the different content ‘layers’ can be modulated according to student needs.  The lesson plans are set up to follow a three-phase format: a review of previous knowledge and concepts—which serves to introduce the topic; a description of the didactic activity—which links with the students’ daily experiences and provides a hands-on cooperative learning experience; and the sharing of work in pairs and/or in groups.  The teacher’s guide also contains indications referring to the objectives connected to the “4 C’s” (Content, Communication, Cognition, Culture), infographics for the construction of the lapbooks, student evaluation materials, and a final test.

WORKBOOK
The workbook is a notebook to be used for the consolidation of learning and individual study.  It proposes a series of exercises that the teacher assigns for homework, which review the contents and linguistic structures taught and used in class.  There is also an illustrated glossary contained in the workbook, covering key vocabulary words from the lessons.

LAPBOOK
There is a lapbook for each of the subject’s three main topics covered over the course of the year, to be constructed progressively using the various elements provided in the take-apart book.  As well as organizing information in a concrete manner, the lapbook is an instrument that provides practice and consolidation of learning.  It also serves as a method of self-evaluation.  Lapbooks are proven to be particularly motivating for children both during the construction phase and after their completion.  They provide students with an opportunity to creatively construct their own learning tools, allowing them to be protagonists in the classroom, and successively giving them the possibility to study from their own creations.

The presentation of the subject contents occurs in an innovative multisensorial and collaborative workshop-type setting. Using the Student’s Lapbook, pupils develop their linguistic and didactic competences by creating a sort of folder in which they will insert minibooks or templates regarding the main concepts discussed in class.
