A fun story and many activities to promote the role of emotions in learning, of mistakes that become resources, of motivation that looks to the future, of how to give children the chance to grow well and peacefully. Accompanying little Gaia on her journey to asteroid B612, children will undertake an inner journey learning to recognize and manage their emotions and thus be able to better face all the small daily challenges.
This book is a help for parents, educators, pedagogists and clinicians so that the importance of emotions can be spread in educational contexts; their manifestation by children is therefore not to be denied or reproached, but to be welcomed and guided to let them learn to recognize and express them.
The journey within the emotional world touches on various emotional stages:
A fun story to promote the role of emotions!
Gaia's journey into emotions is an illustrated book that accompanies children in discovering their emotions, helping them learn to manage them to better face everyday challenges. The book alternates a narrative part - the story of Gaia - with a part of exercises designed to promote the role of emotions in learning, of mistakes that become resources, of motivation that looks to the future. The goal is to give children the opportunity to grow well and peacefully.
The story
Gaia is a little aviator with a secret dream: to visit her best friend, the Little Prince, on asteroid B612. One day she decides to build a plane, pack a backpack with everything she needs and leave for an exciting journey. Alas, her plane suddenly breaks down, loses altitude and crashes. It is at this moment, on the seabed, that a new adventure begins for Gaia: a journey into emotions.
For who?
The book is a help for parents, educators, pedagogists and clinicians so that the importance of emotions and knowing how to accept them can be spread in educational contexts, because they are part of the personal baggage of every child. The manifestation of emotions by little ones is therefore not to be denied or reproached, but to be welcomed and guided to let them learn to recognize and express them.
