Affection Addiction

Affection addiction is comparable to behavioural addictions and is particularly characterized by the fear of relational loss. Starting from a nosographic framework and its etiopathogenesis, Affection Addiction proposes a functioning model of the disorder, complete with an evaluation and treatment protocol, highly usable in therapeutic practice, shareable with the patient and on which the cognitive-behavioural intervention can be based.

The volume contains numerous examples of worksheets that can be useful to the therapist in the process of constructing the cognitive-behavioural conceptualization of cases and in their treatment.

In order to allow an assessment that takes into account the complexity of the clinical aspects of this condition, and given the lack of specific tools in the scientific literature, the book includes a new clinical tool for assessment and diagnosis: the INLOAD (Inventory for Love Addiction, curated by Antonella Lebruto).
