The so-called “scholastic learning disorders,” which primarily affect reading, writing, and calculation abilities, require careful and accurate attention and intervention. This book provides psychologists and teachers with the tools and specialized materials necessary to lay out a diagnosis together that is directly “functional” to the recovery of learning and based on clear and comprehensible concepts.
The authors introduce the main tools available today for the formulation of a functional diagnosis of learning disorders which meet the international classification standards (ICD-10 e DSM-IV).
The work lends itself to different levels of operational use and benefits the work of the psychologist (to whom it is mainly addressed), but also the speech therapist and teacher, indicating a concrete path of integration between the different professional roles within the school.
